Harley Driver Hospital After Hitting Deer Near Bokoshe

A Wilburton man was flown to a Tulsa hospital after his motorcycle hit a deer in LeFlore County December 11. George McDaniel is said to be stable with head and other injuries after the Monday evening crash, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. Troopers said the 59-year-old man was westbound on State Highway 31 about 5 miles west of Bokoshe when his 2014 Harley struck the deer.

Charges Filed In March Tulsa Homicide

Police said Durrell Collins was killed on March 20, 2017, while parking his car in the 1500 block of East Seminole. Tulsa Police Sergeant Dave Walker said the investigation focused on gang violence, and on December 12, 2017, there was enough evidence for the Tulsa County District Attorney's Office to file first-degree murder charges against 20-year-old Norman Gains, AKA Norman Johnson.
