Mesa man who sought state investigator job accused of having child porn

A Mesa man who told authorities he was seeking a job as an investigator with the state was arrested on suspicion of downloading thousands of pieces of child pornography to his computer, according to court documents. Paul Sappington, 48, was arrested Feb. 14 at his residence after authorities traced files containing child pornography to his computer, the Maricopa County court records state.
